From once upon a time
to happily ever after.
Every story takes your child further.
Mukashi is an English reading app for children in Japan: real, illustrated stories, leveled to your child and read with Hoshi, a small star spirit far from home. It is made for elementary-school children (6–12), and for children from age 4 reading with a parent. Children start at Eiken 5, and higher levels are added world by world. ¥1,980 a month, tax included: less than a single English lesson. The first ten books are free, with no signup.
Hoshi is a long way from home.
He fell from the stars on a night nobody was watching. Since then he has slept inside a whale, planted a garden, and filled a journal with words he doesn't understand yet. He is waiting for someone to read them with him.
That someone is your child.
Every word they learn lights the path home. Hoshi cannot get there alone.
